Why a Revolution?
Do you sense something is wrong in our modern Christianity, yet you just can’t quite identify it? There is so much Christian stuff (books, magazines, music, TV, T-shirts, and even breath mints), what could we possibly be missing? It is our aim at REVOLUTION IN CHRIST to answer that question. One of our main problems is that in our attempt to become so relevant, we have become irrelevant. We have lost our historic Christian distiniction.
Christianity is a counter-culture movement. We as believers are, according to 1 Peter, strangers and aliens who are just passing through.
This is illustrated in the classic book by John Bunyan, Pilgrim’s Progress. All these terms point to the idea of those who are not permanent settlers in the land but are temporary residents.
The term “Revolution” is to be applied not as a revolt or rebellion but as a need for transformation, just as in the American, Industrial or French Revolution. These historical periods could be summed up in one word: change. We need a change in the Body and this is only done through and in Jesus Christ.
