Theological Disclaimer
We here at Revolution in Christ strive to be a rich source of equipping in the body of Christ. We are solely devoted to the work kingdom as well as to the Great Commission that Jesus gave in Matthew 28. We wish to be of service to the body of Christ locally, nationally and internationally. However, we at Revolution in Christ want to be responsible in the sources we use. So, we wish to make a disclaimer in regards to some of the sources we use on this ministry site.
Although Revolution in Christ uses sources that are sometimes Calvinistic, we find it imperative that we offer a disclaimer that that we here at Revolution in Christ are not Calvinistic in our theology. In truth, through the last twenty-two years behind the pulpit, the kinds of behavior we seen in both men and women as they have become involved in Calvinism has been (to put it lightly) troubling. Such characteristics include arrogance, divisiveness, and a serious lack of theological humility.
We also find it important as well to mention that we find the doctrine troubling in view of the Holy Scriptures. I am so grateful to the Lord that I was raised to examine all things closely when it comes to examining the Scriptures to confirm or eliminates beliefs.
We could offer one piece of advice to young believers. That is that they need to do a painstaking study into the history of Calvinism. The believer must not come from a starting point of trying to confirm that Calvinism’s attributes have come from heaven itself. Also, the believer must carefully examine Calvinism objectively in light of solid Scriptural evidence.
In truth, the last thing we here at Revolution would want to happen is for a young believer to click on a link from our site and, in the end, wind up holding a doctrine we find troubling. When all has been said and done, our stewardship is before the Lord God Almighty and we must act in a way that shows we are living daily in the sight of the Lord.
By no means, do we wish to upset or offend any of our readers. But, we feel deeply moved by the Lord to be transparent in all issues. If you are interested in learning more about the aspects we find troubling in Calvinism, please read What Love is This? by Dave Hunt. It will truly bless you.
